Receiving feedback from video

After uploading the video to youtube, feedback was received and people shared their opinions on the video. The feedback is all very positive which I'm very happy with and I'm glad our target audience have enjoyed our 2nd draft of the video. All that is left to be done on the Music video is to add the artists name, the song title and the production company at the beginning of the song. This can be done very simply on final cut pro and we will add this simple feature the first day back after half term.

Journal - 14/2/14 - 2nd Draft of music video
After previously having missing footage throughout the majority of our video we finally managed to fill in the blanks after 2 more filming sessions. The video now has no missing footage and is looking really improved. I feel now that we have added a live performance, although short, it adds to the conventions of the indie genre so much and breaks up the stop-motion to ensure it isn't repetitive and doesn't get boring. Overall I am very pleased with the music video and I feel the only think left to be done is to add the song, artist and record label at the beginning of the video.

Journal 13/1/14 - Final shoot and editing
Today ,we hope, was our last day filming and we finally feature a real band to be Tonic. This scene allows the narrative to come in full circle as the real band finally destroy the plastincine men who have been trying to imitate them. This also allowed Goodwin to be brought into our video as we are using close up's to sell the bands image and a relationship between the band and audience can be created. Today was very successful as we managed to shoot the whole of the end scene with minimal problems. The only issue we encountered was with lighting being rather dull however we hope to fix this during the editing process on final cut pro. We managed to film a mixture of close ups and long shots of the band to emphasis the indie genre and add a final convention (a live performance.)
We decided to capture individual close ups of each band member to communicate each member role in the band. This also seemed to be a key aspect of music videos we looked at such as Coffee & Tv by blur for example.
Now that we have all the footage its just a matter of editing in order to finish the video. In order to get the editing fished we are spending our double lesson editing the footage and also staying after school today to get as much finished as possible. Anything left over we hope to complete tomorrow therefore we can work on our evaluations over half term.Tuesday, 11 February 2014
