journal 11/2/14 - Filming

Today we decided to film as many scenes as possible due to the lack of time and the high amount of missing footage. As a whole today was very successful as we managed to film the opening scenes, and a number of short scenes which look appealing and fit with the narrative. As of now the only thing left to do is edit the scenes shot, and film the final scene which will done tomorrow during our free lessons. After which we will be dedicating the remainder of our time to editing and ensuring the video makes sense and the narrative fits together smoothly.

Some problems we faced today was mainly with the plasticine models and they are now very fragile due to the amount of movement they've endured. This resulted in them falling over and breaking apart in the middle of scenes which broke the continuity of certain scenes due to the fact when they were re-postioned they wasn't in the same place. However, we tried to overcome this by ensuring they were stuck down to the surface they were standing on to ensure there stability was maximised. For the scenes in which they did fall however, we just tried to deal with it as best as possible e.g aligning them closely with the previous shot as there isn't enough time to re-shoot the whole scene.
