Journal 30/10/13 First digipak idea

For the front cover of the digipak I wanted to keep it simple by just having the bands logo as the main image against a plain white background so it look distinct. However, I was slightly cautious about this due to the fact it is the bands first album and they wont be recognized by there logo as firstly they aren't yet popular nor are they mainstream. So I plan to conduct some audience research to find out if the target audience would be attracted to this if not I may decide to change it to the bands image so the audience can relate and also be more likely to buy it once they have a clear image of the band and what they are like.
For my inside panels I wanted them to relate to the  music video therefore I wanted to place Plasticine splatters in the background of the image to add a creative twist to the digipak and also add a bright pop of colour. As for the actual images themselves I wanted a simple straight on photograph of the 4 real band members themselves on the left side and a mirrored image on the other side however, this time with the Plasticine models of the band. This could be an issue due to scale as it will be difficult getting both images identical as the models are 4 inches tall and the band members are life size. We also havent go actors yet either so this is another problem.

On the back panel I wanted to have the track listing and I am still indecisive about the background image because I'm not sure if I want a background scene from our music video or if I want a simple image of a guitar.

On the final panel I didn't know what to put on it so I simply wanted to dedicate it to musical instruments to portray the bands passion for music. I also decided to add a unique selling point which allows the audience to get a free figure of one of the band member upon purchasing the album.
