Group discussion and feedback

A feedback session was held today to ensure we were on track with our project and also to make sure we have applied Goodwin's theory to our music video. The only aspect of Goodwin we appeared to be missing was interetextual referencing which is a very key aspect of music videos. To fix this we shared ideas during this session and thought about the 'coolness' of being British and our bands influences which made it easier to think of references we could possibly make. The two which stood out the most were the Italian job car chase which would be easy to film considering we have the props and it is also fits with our current ideas. Another one was an oasis album cover portraying a car in a swimming pool. We want to re-create this in a sink as only fans of the indie genre will understand therefore it has two benefits the first one being the fans will feel happy and its easy to place within our video.
