Today we did our first shoot for our music video. To start we created our actual mdoels for the video out of plasticine which proved to be rather time consuming as they took over two hours to create. However, we are very pleased with the result as they turned out a lot better than we anticipated and have a realistic effect to them due to small details such as individual hairs. Even though this was our first shoot after seeing some of the shots we noticed some issues to do with lighting and the position of the camera so we are going to be re-shooting some of the scenes/shots to ensure they are at the best possible standard. These problems are all easily fixable by simply re-shooting the scene which we will be doing by next week.
This was the typical set up for our scenes. We had our camera placed on a tripod to ensure shots were static and the camera wouldn't move around as much creating an disorenting effect. We also added lighting to highlight the focus of our idea, in this scene the focus was the model therefore we ensured he was clearly lit. This also added to the overal animation effect of the video as it made the character look more realistic and the colours become more distinct and bright.

This is a shot of all our finished plasticine models. Since we were shooting our music videos we decided to take a few images which we could use for our digipaks since we all plan to feature the models on them. This is a shot simalr to what I want to feautre on my digipak of all the plasticine fiures standing together as a band.
