After deciding I wanted images of real people to act as the band on my digipak I needed to find some actors to play the part.Today I did my first shoot with the actor who will play the lead singer of the band and is designed to look like the Plasticine model with red hair. I took some basic mid shots of the actor and also some shots of him with the model as this is what I want to use for my digipak. Some problems we encountered were to do with the hair colour and outfit. Since the band need to resemble the Plasticine figures as closely as possible I needed to modify the appearance of the actor. Since he was blonde we easily fixed this by dying his hair bright red. For costume we needed the same outfit as the Plasticine model which luckily was a simple outfit to re-create (Basic red t shirt, small bow tie and brown chinos.
Tomorrow,
Friday 8th I will be photographing another actor who will be the guitarist of the band. I'm hoping this shoot goes well and wish to get images of the actor playing the guitar with the figure sitting upon it mimicking his actions by playing a spoon.
