Journal - 19/11/12 filming and editing

Today the group filmed an additional scene for the music video. Our original plan was to have a scene featuring a man sitting on a notepad to work alongside the lyrics 'hanging at your pad.' However, we felt this was really spontaneous therefore it wouldn't look very professional with the rest of our footage. To resolve this we decided to change the scene which we felt would work better with the song and also look more visually interesting.

An issue we had with our stop motion since the start was their stability as we had no internal structure keeping them balanced. In order to fix this we re-constructed the sculptures by fitting them with a wired skeleton so they can now move and stand with more ease.

Once the photographs were taken the images were uploaded into final cut pro and the previous process used to make our last scene was repeated. The method is as simple as uploading and ordering the images after which cutting down the duration they are shown to the same time so it flows as a video would. The only issue with this is the fact it is very time consuming however, when it comes to editing all the footage we plan to each edit a scene to get the video done as quickly as possible.
